Contxto – Very few times have I ever read about a startup, proceeded to watch its promotional video, and be left speechless. Loud Voice Services proved otherwise. The Brazilian voice UI startup recently raised US$1.5 million from undisclosed investors.

In Summary

Loud Voice Services is a marketplace for customers seeking to implement voice UI and UX programs. In the process, they have an array of products to choose from. Users can purchase off the shelf items or even request customized experiences.

Apparently, I’m not the only one gushing over the company’s features and offerings. The startup actually just raised US$1.5 million during a mere pre-seed round.

Founded less than a year ago, it has already worked with biggies in the industry including Oracle, Amazon Web Services and the Global Scale-Up Program. Its products vary from client to client, but in most cases, the company offers productivity optimization via automation. It also provides service and customer support for cost reduction.

In-Depth

For many, customer support and customer-employee relationships are simple. In the world of call center, it’s mostly a matter of having large groups of people answer phone calls from other larger groups people.

According to Leonardo Leão, former head of Facebook Latin America and Loud Voice Services’ founder, these repetitive and easily replicable tasks are easy to automate via technology. I’m not a huge fan of robot customer support, but let’s see what else he has to say.

“Today, 50 percent of processes are automated within companies,” said Leão. “We have created a solution that can optimize and reduce by 50 percent of the costs that a company could have with the service sector.”

Apparently, the company has already established operations outside of its native São Paulo. Only seven months into operations and the startup has already expanded to San Francisco as well as Lisbon.

“We were able to generate a unique humanized experience using the best services from the leading players on the market,” added Leão. “With our product it is possible, in a single experiment, to plug a Google STT, Amazon TTS, and the IBM Watson Knowledge Base, for example. This makes the whole experience be thought for the best performance and that is personalized according to the needs of each client.”

Being impressed would be an understatement when I first visited Loud Voice Services’ site and watched this video. Really, watch it. The Canceller is a customized solution that the company developed for another startup called ReclameAqui.

Allegedly, it is an algorithm specializing in canceling service contracts in lieu of customers themselves. Gosh, I need that in my life!

Loud Voice Services is also working on other cases such as Vitreo, which will soon release its case study. The company’s main goal is to grow 10 times in revenue by the end of the year. It is also reaching out to more call center companies to help automate services.

“This market has great potential and our goal is to further optimize services and offer cutting-edge technology that can serve customers of various sizes,” said Leão.
