Contxto – You know you have a gifted work ethic when someone buys your entire company simply to offer you a job. Well, that’s exactly what happened to Worldsense’s co-founder, Davi Reis, when Loggi acquired his company.

In other words, the Brazilian on-demand delivery startup purchased Worldsense to recruit Reis and other top tech talents. What Loggi wanted to accomplish involved talent acquistion and product development.

I know what you’re thinking – there are tons of developers across Brazil. So what makes Davi so special?

Well, he pioneered Google’s expansion to Brazil. Previously, he worked as a text and algorithm specialist. More importantly, Reis led nationwide and worldwide projects for the tech giant, including Orkut Monetization and Google Pigeon.

In addition to Reis, part of the Worldsense team will join Loggi’s staff of 600. New arrivals can expect to join the product, engineering and sales departments.

Worldsense was a Brazilian online adtech startup aiming to change the way advertisers and publishers connect around content in Brazil. According to Worldsense’s website, operations officially closed due to the transfer.

Arthur Debert, Loggi’s co-founder and head of product, considers this to be an unprecedented merger in Brazillian history.

Today, we have one of the best programmers in the world as a CTO in the company and this leaves us close to the goal of being one of the best engineering companies, not only in the country, but globally.

Arthur Debert, co-founder of Loggi

Loggi currently provides services to 300 thousand small and large businesses in 33 Brazillian cities. With more than 10 thousand motorcycles operating, the enterprise delivers over 3 million packages a month.
