Conxto – Cloud technology may become a new standard in Latin America following a partnership between two major entities.

That’s to say, Globant’s team of 7,800 will add 310 additional IT professionals with its acquisition of Colombian cloud solutions provider, Avanxo. Besides improved process optimization for corporate partners, sales and growth opportunities in Latin America should rise simultaneously.

Who is Avanxo?

Avanxo is a Colombian company enhancing the way clients conduct business, whether that involves processing sales, formulating IT strategies, or even analyzing data. According to the firm’s website, it offers tailor-made solutions while providing quality consulting.

CEO Diego Maldonado embraced the binding agreement with Globant in hopes of expanding opportunities for employees plus partners. Being part of Globant’s network will presumably augment resources, support and growth opportunities for Avanxo’s personnel.

“We are thrilled to become part of the Globant team,” said Maldonado, whose digitally native company has been featured in Harvard, MIT and Standford business case studies. “Globant shares our core values focused on talent development, employee satisfaction, close alignment with our partners and customer success.”

By joining Globant, we will be able to broadly expand our capabilities and provide a vehicle for growth for our employees and our partners.

Who is Globant?

Headquartered in Buenos Aires, Globant is a global leader in digital and cognitive transformations. Just take a look at some of its credentials. It earned the title of Worldwide Leader of Digital Strategy Consulting Services by IDC MarketScape in 2016 and 2017.

Areas of expertise include streamlining AI, Big Data, as well as cloud computing for large businesses. Past partners have been LinkedIn, BBVA, EA, Coca Cola, among others.

Both parties are celebrating the partnership to promote innovation, engineering, not to mention scaling Latin American operations. For Globant, Avanxo is capable of opening new doors because of its well-established influence in Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina.

“Avanxo shares our vision on how to deliver profound digital and cognitive transformations for the most demanding customers,” said Globant CEO and co-founder, Martin Migoya.

What is the goal of the binding agreement?

Based on reports, part of Globant’s motivation is to expand across Brazil, Mexico, Peru, in addition to Argentina. Ultimately, the conglomerate aspires to help traditional enterprises transform into “global powerhouses” with the latest cloud technology.

It should go without saying that with the acquisition, Globant also intends to continue optimizing corporate systems. This shouldn’t be too much of a burden with an augmented staff of tech experts.

“With Avanxo, we’ll broaden our transformation approach as we keep bringing our digital culture to optimize our customers’ corporate processes,” said Globant’s Chief of Staff and fellow co-founder, Martin Umaran.

“We have found an amazing team that complements our model. Therefore, we are confident that this acquisition will help us propel our positioning as leaders in the digital and cognitive arena.”
